It’s no wonder they have a certain style. Most celebrities have large amounts of money, as well as stylists and consultants to help them maintain their looks. While this does give them a certain advantage, this doesn’t mean that you can’t look like a celebrity. Here are a few tips that can help you out — even if you are on a budget.

Choose a Mentor

Find a celebrity that represents the style you want to reflect. You should choose a celebrity whose body type is similar to yours. It doesn’t make sense to try to fit into fashions of an ultra-thin celebrity, when your body type might be a bit on the heavy side.

Use Magazines

Read celebrity-based magazines such as People. Tear out photos of your favorite celebrity and use these as a resource. Many of these magazines feature articles on how to dress like your favorite celebrity while choose lower-priced outfits and clothing.

Accessorize

See what kinds of accessories and jewelry your favorite celeb is wearing and try to find inexpensive pieces that are similar. One idea that is embraced by many is to actually learn to create your own jewelry. By taking a jewelry making class, you’ll be able to recreate those fabulous pieces worn by celebrities.

After you pick out your favorites, put your own style spin on it. You should do things like take the basic style, but choose it in a color that is more suitable to your tastes.

Most of the fashions that appear on the runways are out of the price range of the average budget. However, you can look for more affordable similar pieces at your local department stores or online.

Media: Do They Make Our Fashion Decisions?

We can all safely agree that the media has an impact on our fashion. We tend to wear what the celebrities wear and we want to wear what we see in the magazines. We see pictures of people wearing something we like and then we go spend money on it. We know that the media has an effect on our fashion, but are they controlling it?

When we look at magazines, we see beautiful women wearing beautiful clothing. Right then and there, the idea is planted in our head. I want to wear that. We want to look beautiful like the woman in the picture. We want to wear that style of clothing.

There isn’t any alternative, is there? The media decides what is fashionable and posts it online, in magazines, on the television. The only clothing put in stores is what everyone is wearing. We can’t get away from the trends because it’s the only thing we’re capable of buying because the stores don’t offer anything else.

Some may see this as a bad thing, but is it really that bad? It may minimize individuality, but that also minimizes the teasing that goes on because of what people wear. It minimizes our choice in fashion, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because then we don’t have to worry about what we are going to wear. We are just going to go with the latest trend.

In a way, if the media decides what we should wear, it almost eliminates one of our basic decisions in life. We still have decisions because the media puts out a variety of styles, but because of the media making the majority of our decision, we don’t have to worry about what kind of clothing to buy or if our fashion won’t fit in. In reality, if the media really does make our fashion decisions, then we are all fitting in together because we have that in common. We aren’t divided because of the differences in our clothing. Because someone else is making that decision, doesn’t it make our lives a lot easier?

It’s almost Christmas, and even in Hollywood, the temperatures are dropping. With cold weather here, how do the Hollywood stars stay warm fashionable? It’s easy to do with a mix of fur, leather, scarves, and stylish accessories.

One way for stars to stay warm and stylish this winter is to top off their outfits with a fur coat. Jessica Simpson, Nicole Scherzinger, and Rachel Uchitel have all been seen walking around Hollywood in fur-lined coats this season. Fans can have the same look without the high cost by opting for a faux fur coat. The’re just as warm and stylish, but don’t cost as much as the real thing. Animal lovers will appreciate the faux fabric too.

Leather jackets and leggings are another fashionable way the stars stay warm in the winter. Stars including Halle Berry, Kim Kardashian, and Elle McPherson have all been seen walking around Hollywood this winter in this great-looking fashion that may never go out of style. Fans can stay warm in leather this winter, too, by finding rubber and leather-look leggings and coats to stay as warm and stylish as their favorite stars.

Hollywood stars top off their winter look with large scarves. Available in several styles and colors, a scarf is the perfect winter accessory, and will do double-duty by keeping them warm in the cold outdoors. Nichole Richie, Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, and Ashley Olson have all been seen around Hollywood sporting a scarf or shawl this season. Their fans can look just as good in a variety of scarves and shawls to fit their style and budget.

Scarves aren’t the only winter accessory seen in Hollywood this winter. Many accessories, including hats, gloves, and boots have been seen on several stars, including Kourtney Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Nicky Hilton. Their favorite style for these winter accessories this season? Animal prints. Their fans can find their own mix of animal-print winter accessories to look just as good this season.

Shocking Hollywood Fashion in 2010

Hollywood stars are normally the best-dressed people seen in the fashion magazines. They wear the newest trends, the latest styles and colors, and are up-to-date with the latest makeup and hair styles. But some of Hollywood’s stars prefer to keep their own fashion alive and well, even when the rest of the world looks at them strangely. Here are some of the shocking fashion trends that has been seen in Hollywood this year.

Several stars, including Pamela Anderson, Jodie, and Halle Berry, were seen around Hollywood in nothing more than a clad bikini top, if that. In some cases, like on Anderson, there was barely any top at all. These stars combined their some-what bikini top with bikini underwear, a belt that covered just enough of the right place, and, in Berry’s case, a stylish pair of matching pants.

In place of a miniskirt, BaiLing was seen in a tutu. She topped it off with a fur crop top and strappy high-heeled sandals. This is not a look one saw regularly in Hollywood last summer.

Transparent fashions were also a big hit in 2010. From lacy see-through tops, to sheer fabrics, to netting, many Hollywood stars found a way to show off their skin last summer. While some opted to wear something underneath, others opted to let the lacey pattern cover them up.

Shoes were one of the strangest accessories seen around Hollywood this year. From knee-length boots, to strange-looking heals, to indescribable-looking shoes, Hollywood stars took “strange” to a whole new level.

The winner of the shocking outfits of the year award should go to Lady Gaga. Not once has she been seen wearing anything most people would call “normal.” Lady Gaga has a look all her own, which is one of the things that makes her so popular, and stand out in a crowd. She has a mix of crazy styles and colors, strange costumes, and odd accessories.

One thing’s for sure: nobody can say that Hollywood’s boring.

Fashion trends change from season to season and year to year. Not only do the styles change, but the colors too. For the winter 2010-2011 season, there are not many restrictions when it comes to color in fashion. The latest colors in fashion come from a mix of inspiration, including nature, bohemian accents, urban warrior, and a touch of classic style.

With this abundance of inspiration, the latest color palette varies greatly from light neutral shades to rich vibrant tones allowing for a varied collection to choose from. Lighter shades come in a range from beige and white, then deepen to darker shades of charcoal, grey, and black, then deepen to even richer colors including dark reds, blues, and purples.

Even with this wide array of colors, there are some that stand out more than others, including bright red, camel, deep purple, and khaki. A good mix of these colors, and slightly different tones of them, will give fashionistas a great winter wardrobe that will see them all the way through to spring. They may want to stack up on several different outfits in these shades, including pants, skirts, tops, holiday dresses, shoes, and accessories. Some great combinations of these colors include mixing khaki with any of the brighter tones, reds and purples, mixing camel with the deeper tones, even a full outfit in either khaki or camel. If that’s too boring for some, they can always add a splash of one of the brighter colors, either with a scarf, a belt, or some other accessory.

These latest colors can be found in a multitude of today’s fashions, including stretch pants, long coats and jackets, miniskirts, tights, and a variety of shoes. They can be found in popular accessories including bags, scarves, belts, and jewelry. Buyers can purchase a few that will go with some of the other items they already have in their wardrobe that will update it to match this season’s color trends.

Millions of people tune in to awards shows just to see what the celebrities are wearing. Many designers from Oscar de la Renta to Vera Wang are only too pleased to have celebs show off their latest creation.

While the price tags are way above what the average person can handle, finding more reasonable priced version is possible. Not to worry, there are clothing boutiques licensed to make and sell their own versions of the top designer styles hot off the red carpet. Best of all, you can have these for a mere fraction of their original price tag.

Finding Celebrity Dress Knockoffs

While the term”knockoffs”usually has a negative connotation, there is nothing illegal about these fashion forward copies. There are many different styles available to choose from. Sometimes the new styles are unveiled within the week of their first appearance at an awards show. One good tip is to watch the morning TV shows after the big event. They often have a guest designer who has made copies of celebrity fashion and will tell you where to buy them.

Of course you can search online to find the dresses that the celebs are wearing now. Some websites specialize in selling these celebrity dress knockoffs. Keep in mind that good shopping sense still applies. Prices will vary based on the style and seller, so be sure to compare before buying. Of course, if you have a bit of sewing talent, there is nothing stopping you from making your version of the latest celebrity fashion.

It’s OK to drool over the hot celebrity fashions you see in magazines and on TV. You can be just as stylish by getting a hold of your own copy of a beautiful dress. Some of these dresses cost $10,000 but you could end up paying less than $500. Once you hit the party scene, if you notice the paparazzi following you, at least you will know why.

Hollywood’s Top Celebrity Trendsetters

Even the most stylish celebrities sometimes have a little help looking good. They have people who help to coordinate almost every aspect of their everyday lives, including what they wear. Some celebrities are known for setting fashion trends.

Some routinely make the ‘Best Dressed’ list, while others have their off days when they miss the mark. Some who score points for their fashion sense are:

•Lindsay Lohan: She may have gotten some bad press due to her personal troubles but there is no denying her sense of style. This may be why her 6126 leggings line flew off the shelves when they were first released. Lohan herself is no slouch on the red carpet scene.
•Michelle Obama: Since her husband won the presidency, she has won raves for her glamorous sense of style. This has helped her grace top fashion magazines like Vogue.

•Sarah Jessica Parker: She played a fashionista in Sex and the City, but her live appearances prove that it was more than a performance.
•Heidi Klum: This supermodel is so well known for her style sense she has her own successful fashion line.
