The fashion world can change in the blink of an eye. What was all the rave today may be totally out of place tomorrow! Fashions change quickly, just like the seasons of the year. Each season the colors of our world change, and in just the same way the fashions change: warm clothes for the winter, cooler clothes for the summer.

One of the latest fashions that has come about is that called “Nude Layering” or Nude fashion. Nude layering isn’t a model walking about in her or his birthday suit but is the concept of starting off with a simple dress (usually one piece) and layering colors on it as you go, a very simple and effective way of making an outfit up. Being Unique

It’s true and everyone knows it; the media has the largest impact on our fashion. As much as the media impacts our fashion choices, it isn’t the only impact. Many people like to blame the media for choosing our clothes for us, and in a way they do. We don’t get to choose what is sold in stores, and the stores go by what the media thinks everyone should wear. The media definitely has an impact, but we can choose to wear whatever we want, and they don’t have to have the impact that everyone says they do.

Many people are afraid to show they are different. They’re afraid they will get made fun of, afraid that people will stare. But if you truly want to be unique, you have to take a step away from everyone else. You have to wear something different. This can be difficult because we can only find in stores what everyone else is wearing, but you may want to mix it differently than everyone else.

If you honestly want to be unique in your fashion, you may make Lady Gaga your inspiration. This doesn’t mean you have to take on her fashion style, but Lady Gaga took a step away from the rest of the world and is known for her sense of fashion. Some people may point and laugh, but others admire her for her individuality.

If you’re going to be different, people are going to think you’re odd. To be honest, isn’t that what odd is? You won’t be normal, but that’s okay. People say they’re normal and that they aren’t any different from anyone else, but there isn’t any real ‘normal’ is there? Everyone is different and unique. If you want to show you’re different, your best bet is in your fashion, where it is as plain as day and everyone will see that you’re unique.

The Top Five Most Expensive Engagement Rings in History

Some of the most exquisite and outlandish diamond engagement rings in history include Jay-z’s 5 million dollar stunner to Beyonce in 2007. An estimated 12 carats the rings worth has been disputed but nonetheless it is a stunner.

Another recent addition to the list of most expensive engagement rings is Paris Hilton’s diamond engagement ring given to her by Greek shipping heir Paris Lastis. While the 2004 engagement didn’t last the reportedly 4.7 million dollar 24 carat emerald cut diamond is still thought to be one of the most expensive engagement rings on record.

A ring that brought back a segment of the diamond fashion was the 6.5 carat Harry Winston pink diamond given to Jennifer Lopez by Ben Affleck also in 2004. A pink diamond is a rarity with only 1 out of 100,000 reported to be true pink diamonds which is why the ring was worth a reported 2 million dollars at the time. After the engagement broke off Lopez returned the ring to Affleck who sold back the ring at half the price to the original seller. It eventually resold for 1.2 million dollars in 2005.

Another ring that broke record in its day was Donald Trump’s engagement ring to his future wife Melania Knauss in 2004. The 15 carat was worth an estimated 3 million dollars which Donald Trump advertised as the most expensive engagement ring of all time.

One of the largest engagement rings of all time remains Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis engagement ring from shipping billionaire Aristotle Onassis. The 40 carat stunner, whose original price is unknown, was auctioned off for a reported 2.6 million dollars in 1996.

Celebrities’ Impact

Why do celebrities have so much impact on our fashion? That’s a question I’m sure many of us wonder, especially the men out there who just don’t understand fashion.

Perhaps we dress like the celebrities because we can then feel closely connected to them. The celebrities are honestly the popular people of the world. The majority of people want to be popular. So we dress as celebrities so we can closely associate ourselves with them and try to get to know them better because they are our idols.

Maybe we dress like celebrities because we have accepted them as the ones who have the right to tell us what to wear. They either wear something unique, which is then picked up as a trend, or the trend already started and they have picked up on it. So when we see the celebrities wearing it, we know that it’s okay for us to wear it.

What if we dress like the celebrities because we feel as if that’s what has been accepted as the new trend? We could, perhaps, dress like the celebrities because a trend has begun and everyone else is wearing it. As said before, we all want to fit in, so because everyone else is wearing it, we must wear it too.

We may dress like the celebrities because what the celebrities are wearing is the only thing sold in stores. We can’t keep all our clothes from 20 years ago, simply because they become ruined from wear and tear, and eventually we must buy a new wardrobe which just happens to consist of what the celebrities are wearing.

Maybe we dress like the celebrities because of all these reasons. The question is still a mystery. Do we dress like celebrities because they are our idols, because it’s in the stores, or because it’s a popular trend? Perhaps some of us have different excuses to why we wear what the celebrities do. But the question still remains. Why do celebrities have so much impact on our fashion? You have to be the one to answer that for yourself.

Many people are trying to get Emma Watson’s new haircut or dress like Beyonce lately. Each year, audiences see new celebrity fashion trends as they march up and down the Red Carpet at events such as the Emmy Awards and the Oscars. They are also constantly featured in celebrity and fashion magazines. Once a star’s new look is revealed, suddenly everyone wants to copy it. Just how big of an impact does the media have on the current celebrity fashion trends? A lot!

The truth is, society can’t pass a magazine stand or watch celebrity-featured news programs without noticing a new look or two on their favorite Hollywood stars. And when people begin to see the new looks, they begin to want that look for themselves. Take Emma Watson’s new haircut for example: she just began wearing it last summer, and now the pixie cut can be seen everywhere. It’s a hot fashion trend right now.

This is not a new trend. For decades, fans have been copying the fashion trends of their favorite stars, both on- and off-screen. Celebrity Fashion Designers

Fans of today’s celebrities are not only interested in what their upcoming projects are, but who they’re wearing. Fans like to copy their favorite stars’ looks, from their hairstyle to the clothes they wear. One way to do this, of course, is to keep up with who’s wearing what. But sometimes fans are lucky enough to not only wear the designers the stars are wearing, but to wear designs created by their favorite stars.

It’s becoming more and more frequent for celebrities to design their own fashion collections. Stars who have had collections for a long time now include Kathy Ireland and Jacquelyn Smith. Selena had released her own clothing line just before her tragic death. And nowadays, it seems a new line by one famous celebrity or another is popping up every season. Today’s celebrity fashion designers include Brittany Spears, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Jessica Simpson.

This is not a new trend, nor is it only a few years old. Celebrities have been designing clothes since Esther Williams started her own line of bathing suites during her time with MGM. Depending on the star you’re looking for, you may find one or two designs at labels that have been around forever, such as Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy, or a star who has launched an entire collection, such as Jessica Simpson, who released a full collection of clothing, shoes, intimates, luggage, and other products.

But in the fashion world, a star’s name on the label may not be enough to see it fly off the racks. The fashions have to look good and be trendy for buyers to seek it out and purchase it. Of course, there will be those customers who buy something simply because of the star’s name on the label, but most shoppers are still going to want something they would actually wear to go along with that name. Each shopper will have her own opinion, and no two may be alike.
