“la Florida” – Land of the Flowers

From the beginning, Florida has been synonymous with beauty and flowers. The efforts of Florida’s New Wildflower License plate program is to contribute to the conservation of the splendor that is “la florida.”

The plate was designed by Tallahassee artist Bill Celander and it features the official wildflower of the State of Florida, the Coreopsis. The plate incorporates a green field with other Coreopsis, as well as Sable Palm fronds, Florida’s state butterfly the Zebra long-wing, a ladybug, and a rising sun in the background.
